The duty-free store of "Altan Joolo Trade" LLC started its operations in 2008 at Chinggis Khan International Airport with the goal of "concentrating global brands at the same time and bringing customer satisfaction to the highest level with a wide selection." Passengers entering the customs border of Mongolia are delivered goods of world-famous brands and domestic manufacturers that meet international standards, and work in accordance with the rules for operating a duty-free store.

On April 17, 2024, an award ceremony was held in Frankfurt, Germany, where "Chinggis Khaan" International Airport was presented with its "4 STAR AIRPORT" certificate.

In line with efforts to enhance safety and convenience within the airport parking premises, fees will be introduced for parking at Chinggis Khaan International Airport effective April, 2024. Parking usage fees can be paid through various methods, both inside and outside the airport, at the designated Parking Payment Center.

Due to heavy snowfall and a blizzard near "Chinggis Khaan" International Airport, the airport's runway was temporarily closed for 1 hour and 15 minutes between 08:15 AM and 09:30 AM. Consequently, flights from Ulaanbaatar to Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo were temporarily delayed during this period.
